“Award-winning Canadian writer-director Kire Paputts will be joining us on April 7th for a special Q&A screening of JUNKIE RUN, moderated by Lou Molinaro!
At Good Eats, the last place you’d expect to get rich, regulars hope to cash in when Foggy shows up with money from a botched drug deal. Junkie Run is a darkly comic, high-stakes tale following seven desperate characters, each chasing the same prize.
Filmed in HAMILTON!Kire’s films, including The Rainbow Kid (2015), The Last Porno Show (2019), The Last Pogo Jumps Again (2013), and Always Had A Nice Time (2024), have screened at festivals worldwide, from TIFF to SXSW, Sitges, Torino, Beijing, VIFF, and Edinburgh. Joining him is Lou Molinaro, a cornerstone of Hamilton’s live music scene, former manager of the Corktown, co-owner and booker of This Ain’t Hollywood, and current host of the popular ‘Lou’s Control’ on CFMU.
