The Westdale Theatre celebrates Canadian Film Day Wednesday April 15th from 4pm – 11pm by screening three Canadian Films with free tickets!

THE MOVIE MAN – 4:00PMAmid a global pandemic, this documentary follows colourful entrepreneur Keith Stata looking back on his life’s work owning and operating an idiosyncratic cinema in the forest of northern Ontario.
THE FURIES (LES FURIES) – 6:15PMWaterloo now has its own semi-pro men’s hockey team, pushing the amateur women’s leagues out of the arena. To avenge their lost ice time, an impulsive hockey player and a ruthless octogenarian-a former derby champion-have a plan: recruit the town’s outcasts and create an underground roller derby team. (Presented in French with English subtitles)
HARD CORE LOGO – 9:00PMThis 1996 Canadian music mockumentary follows former band members Joe Dick, Billy Tallent, John Oxenberger and Pipefitter. When Joe reunites the band for a Canadian tour, tensions rise when guitarist Billy Tallent considers leaving for a bigger opportunity. As they hit the road with their volatile bandmates, personal conflicts and clashing priorities threaten to tear the group apart. (30th Anniversary)
