“Katie here! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful holiday season so far, and it’s been great seeing so many of you at the studio, the vibes have been so high!

I wanted to put it out to everyone that I am very excited about hosting a documentary viewing on Friday, January 17 that I was featured in.

It is an hour long documentary that is about running/yoga and the effects these modalities have on mental health/addiction. Ted Michaels, a local iconic radio announcer and mental health advocate who has raised almost $200 000 for charity through different initiatives, is the driving force behind this project and is featured in it, interviewing different local people about their own experiences with mental health and how running/yoga has helped them manage or overcome challenging times.

Also featured is a beloved De La Sol student, Samantha Mercanti, who has been an advocate for mental health support and initiatives since 2008. Her story around health, wellness, and her own journey is incredibly inspiring!

The documentary was first featured at the art gallery in Burlington to a sold out crowd, and Ted Michaels has since won an award for his work on it!

I have closed the studio January 17 in the evening for the purpose of hosting the viewing of this documentary. It is a fundraiser for the Hamilton Food Share.
