A devised feminist adaptation of epic poem Ramayana, written by sage Valmiki somewhere between the 1 st and 5 th century BCE, about Ram’s quest to rescue his abducted wife Sita. Our telling of this entrenched text is through the eyes of Sita, a living-breathing woman, with the intention of subverting this problematic myth. Dramaturgy by Judith Thompson.
