“Whether you’re a poet (and you know it), a wordsmith, or a lover of words – start your summer off right with a tall cool glass of poetry on a hot June night! Come with your bars loaded and fingers ready to snap as writers from across the city battle it out with words and prose (aka a poetry slam). Our top three poets will be taking home a cash prize 1st $150, 2nd $75, 3rd $25 and have a chance to take part in the city-wide championship this December
For our community members wanting to hit the mic but not compete – we invite you to bring your guitars, banjos, poetry, old jokes and good joke as we’ll be hosting an OPEN MIC before the SLAM
