YWCA Hamilton receives $2 Million Provincial Investment to Launch Gender-Based Violence Support Services Hub.
YWCA Hamilton is proud to announce a historic $2 million investment from the Province of Ontario toward the creation of a new Gender-Based Violence Support Hub. This transformative initiative will provide vital, integrated support to women, children, and gender-diverse individuals experiencing gender-based violence across Hamilton and Halton.
This landmark funding reflects the collaborative efforts of all levels of government to address and prevent gender-based violence. From the Federal Government’s National Action Plan to End Gender-Based Violence, to Ontario STANDS against Intimate Partner Violence, to the City of Hamilton’s formal declaration of Intimate Partner Violence as an epidemic—together, YWCA and partners across sectors will help women and gender-diverse people to rebuild their lives after violence. “-– YWCA Hamilton.
