The Griffin House National Historic Site is on a hilltop overlooking the Dundas Valley. It was the home of Enerals & Pricilla Griffin who escaped slavery and purchased the home and farmland in 1834. The Griffin House has limited visiting hours Sundays 1pm-4pm July through September. It is closed during 2023 for a capital work project, so check before planning your visit. The Griffin House NHS is part of the Hamilton Civic Museums group.
